Prempro
Wyeth, Inc., formerly known as American Home Products, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, formerly known as Wyeth-Ayerst Pahrmaceuticals, Inc. are the manufacturers of the prescription hormone replacement therapy (HRT) drug Prempro (conjugated estrogens/medroxyprogesterone acetate tablets).
Marked increases in invasive breast cancer, coronary heart disease, stroke and pulmonary embolism were found in patients taking the combination therapy compared to women taking a placebo.
